Mission

DDOT, in compliance with local and federal regulations, will ensure that no agency projects will have an adverse effect on historic or cultural resources.

Procedures & Services

DDOT has set up a citywide Section 106 Programmatic Agreement (PA) with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office (DCHPO), and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP). Any activities or projects listed on the programmatic agreement do not require further review by DCHPO.
