Mission
DDOT operates Capital Bikeshare - a multijurisdictional bicycle rental network - within the District of Columbia in order to provide the public with convenient access to bicycles, promote bicycling as a mode of transportation, and improve the overall livability of the District.
Capital Bikeshare service outside the District is owned by neighboring jurisdictions, such as Arlington County, Alexandria, and Montgomery County, respectively.
