Program Admin

  • Call for projects + call for intern projects combined
    • Due: January 14
    • Target for selection: late January/early February
    • Assistance with reviewing ideas between end of call and selection meeting - but priority goes to intern project review given schedule
  • Invoicing
    • weekly meetings with Carol are going well, will resume after TRB for another quarter
    • FY20 admin cost transfer - got declined during PeopleSoft time, then transition to Workday led to things getting lost, but hopefully they can fix this in the next month

Interns

  • Summer call
    • Goal: projects selected and ready to post by end of January. 
    • PIO sounds open to press release
  • VZ interns: letters are sent, Bianca starting on 12/20, Javad's CPT is being processed (start date dependent on that approval)
    • Remind Linda she can set up an intro call before 12/20.
    • Melissa will send offer letters to Katie today so she/Linda can start account set-up.
  • Payments
    • Will make payments in advance for the period when HU is closed (12/20-12/31) - so students will get double on 12/17
    • Emily's payment: Melissa checked and she should have seen payment today (Stephanie confirming)
    • Checking on Christopher's hours before final payment sent in
  • Extensions (w/cost) for VZ and OP
    • Target to have fully executed by 12/10
    • Stephanie will try to have mods for HU signature by Monday 12/6
  • Invoicing issues update
    • With VZ interns starting on 12/20, gives enough charges to pay back the VZ account from the OP account.

Projects

  • Telecommuting and Tax Revenue
    • UMD really pushing back on flow-down terms, Stephen brought all the teams to the table (including Kemorine Wallace) and it's now clear that it's on MSU and UMD to figure this out. 
    • Sam has been working on the data request 
  • Advisory Bicycle Lanes - is this running? Yes!
    • Stephen talking to Babin this afternoon. Need to ask Will for input on timelines - should hear something soon.
  • Microtraffic Right Hook Study - can we get data collected?
    • Confirm whether and when to do the data collection given the weather. 
  • Curb mural research - PSU/UNC interest, Neighborhood Planning Branch would like to discuss next steps
    • Stephen will share terms and conditions so they can review before this gets too far along
