Driveways

Mission
A driveway connects the public roadway with an adjacent property. As driveways are, in effect, low volume intersections, their numbers and location have a definite impact on highway capacity, primarily on arterial highways.
Driveway entrances should be constructed perpendicular to a roadway and shall not cause the blocking of any sidewalk, border or tree space area, street, or roadway. Sight distance should be located to provide the best visibility possible within the limitations of the property that each driveway serves.
