Using the StreetSmart Window
Streetsmart can be used to view or add supports into the database using high-resolution street-level Cyclomedia imagery.

View Supports and Signs in StreetSmart
To view a support in StreetSmart,
- Click on a support on the map.
- In the red support panel to the right, click on the binoculars icon
button on the sidebar.
3. When this button is pushed, the left hand panel appears and StreetSmart begins to load. This may take a few moments. When it finishes loading, it will show the support highlighted within the viewer: 
The image can be moved around by clicking and dragging down your mouse and moving it around. The mouse wheel zooms in and out. The red dots you see are the area's supports that are in the database. They should correspond to the support seen in StreetSmart.
NOTE: these views are sometimes dated. The date the view is was taken is in the top left corner of the StreetSmart viewer.

Clicking on the selected red dot will pull up information on the support:
Scrolling down you will find various information on the Subblock Key, Block ID, Support ID (listed as "GLOBAL ID") and Measure.
Clicking on a dot that is not selected will select that dot, both in the viewer and the map. Once it is selected, you can click again to get attribute information.
Green dots in the road can be used to navigate as well. Simply click on them will move you to that position.
'Time Travel' using StreetSmart
In the upper right-hand corner of the StreetSmart viewer, there is a timestamp of the date the image was taken, and to the left an icon with a clock and magnifying glass 
. This control will allow you look at images taken from the same spot on earlier data. Click the icon and a vertical slider will appear. Click on one of the dots on the slider and a thumbnail of the image will occur, with date taken. Clicking on the thumbnail will bring the older imagery into the viewer. This can be useful if the current image isn't clearly showing the sign. Another method is to look at the support in the Google viewer, which is explained in the next section.
View Supports and Signs in Google Streets
There is an alternate viewer that can be used to view - but not edit- the signs and supports on the map. If you press the 
button, it will open a viewer using Google Street View. It will present a green 'view cone' on the map, like this;
The Google viewer comes with limited functionality, it does not mark the points on the image, nor can you edit any data. It can, however, provide a 'second opinion' on signs that may be difficult or impossible to see.
