MIRE, the Model Inventory of Roadway Elements, is a recommended listing of roadway inventory and traffic elements critical to safety management. MIRE is intended as a guideline to help transportation agencies improve their roadway and traffic data inventories.

GRADE
Roadway Type at Beginning Ramp Terminal (195)195185Interchange/RampA ramp is described by a beginning and ending ramp terminal in the direction of ramp traffic flow or the direction of inventory. This element describes the type of roadway intersecting with the ramp at the beginning terminal.

Guidance

  1. For a given LRS Ramp Subblock, get FromIntersectionID.  Also get SubblockID
  2. Search for that value on IntersectionID within LRS Intersection Approaches.
  3. This will return all segments connected to that intersection.
  4. Filter out the ramp SubblockID.  The remaining records are related to the roadway which the ramp BEGINS at.
  5. Capture the value in RoadType

ROUTEID LIKE '%3'

The Route IDs of our dual carriageways either end in 1 or 3.  '3' generally corresponds to the outbound centerline geometry direction for dual carriageways, but there are some exceptions.  Route ID's that end in 3 are the designated inventory direction for DDOT's HPMS program.
