Time Restrictions in Signworks

Below describes the process for when a user selects a special type of day or time code in Signworks sign editing panel.

School Days

If a user selects or adds a new time restriction and indicates 'Schooldays' as the Start day, Signworks will:

  1. End day:  Automatically filled with 'Schooldays'.
  2. Start and End Times:  User must indicate if start or end times need to be added
  3. Note:  End day is also disabled and is no longer editable.

Anytime

If a user selects or adds a new time restriction and indicates 'Anytime' as the start day, Signworks will:

  1. End day, Start time, End time:  Automatically filled with 'Anytime'.
  2. Note:  All of these dropdowns will also be disabled and is no longer editable.

Single-day Restrictions

What should you do if you have a single day sign?  If a sign indicates that parking is restricted on only one day of the week, users should create a time restriction that both starts and ends on that day.  Below is an example of a Street Sweeping sign:

Street Sweeping, Tuesday, No parking allowed 9am to 12pm

Start DayEnd DayStart TimeEnd Time
TuesdayTuesday9am12pm

Database

Once all of these data are managed as described above, there should be no time restrictions with blank values.
