DDOT research is conducted to improve the work of the agency and the lives of the traveling public in the District. The research results are available to the entire agency and are disseminated to the wider transportation community.

Summaries of our past projects can be found here. The final reports for DDOT research projects are available in pdf or print and can be found by searching the library catalog

 

Want to Publish?

Do you have a completed research project that you want to share with other transportation professionals? The Research Program encourages DDOT staff to submit papers for publication in academic and/or professional forums. Here you can find a listing of various transportation journals; many of them accept research papers for peer-reviewed publication. Within the list you will find a link to the website and to submission guidelines (if available). Below is a list of transportation journals for ideas of where to publish.

The Research Program will be developing additional guidelines for publishing DDOT research in the future. In the meantime, please contact us if you have questions.  

 

Need an Article?

Many journals have archives that you can browse for free. TRID is a good place to look. It has a wealth of transportation related articles that you can browse. Past work submitted to TRB can be accessed in the TRB Publications Index.
