Getting started with ArcGIS Online

ArcGIS Online is Geographic Information Systems... in the 'cloud'!  DCGov has extensive access to maps, tools, data and apps that help you manage your location information quickly and easily.  (No GIS degree required!)


Request an Account

First thing to do is get an account.  To get an account, simply request one at the link below:

Logging in to ArcGIS Online

  1. Go to:  www.arcgis.com
  2. Click the 'Sign In' button
  3. Click on 'Enterprise Login' in the next screen:

    In the empty box, type dcgis, then click 'Continue'Click on the blue 'DC GOV AD CREDENTIALS' button
  4. Enter your DCGov credentials:
    1. Your username will be like 'jsmith@ddot.dc.gov'
    2. Your password will be your current Windows password.
  5. Click Ok and you will be taken to DCGov's ArcGIS Online Portal! 
  6. Happy mapping!
