Mission
moveDC is a collaborative effort led by DDOT to develop a bold and implementation-focused vision for the District of Columbia's transportation future. moveDC shall update the current Multimodal Long Range Transportation Plan for the District, evaluating the current and future needs of, and providing recommendations for, all modes of transportation in the District; fulfill federal requirements; and most importantly, act a decision-support tool for the city as decisions are made on the transportation investments throughout the next 30 years.

Action PlanMission
moveDC 2021 provides an overarching framework of goals and policies to guide transportation decisions in the District of Columbia over a 25-year period. Goals and policies are implemented through strategies which are discrete actions DDOT is already taking. In Annual Reports, DDOT will report on progress it is making toward implementing the strategies. Each Annual Report includes a short progress report on all 41 strategies as well as a more detailed discussion of selected strategies. The plan was last updated in December 2021.
